Close-up magic is the oldest and purest form of the art. Most feel there is nothing more impressive than being so close to things magicly vanishing right before your eyes. 

Slight of hand and mentalism are the traditional forms of close-up and are practiced on such ordinary everyday items such as coins, playing cards, audience items chosen at random.

Close-up is a great way to please the older and more sophisticated audience but can be tailored to the young and young-at-heart.
